Achieve Weight Loss, Get Motivated and Seize the Day by Avoiding Procrastination

Good day cyberspace friends,

Glad you’ve dropped by!!  Today I have a little story to share with you. It’s a shortish tale about something that happened to a close friend of mine.  I’ve taken out my friends name and replaced it with you, because it could just as easily have happened to you.

The Unexpected

Okay, so it’s early morning, you’re up but still feeling a little groggy.  You’re still rubbing your eyes and yawning when you hear a sudden knock at the door.  Slowly and begrudingly you make your way over. The knocking is loud and starting to drive you nuts now.  It sounds so insistent.

“Shut up,” you call out, “I’m coming.”

Standing in the open doorway, you can’t believe who it is. “Hi, I’m Someday,” your visitor announces cheerfully.   You can hardly believe you’re eyes! Somehow, deep down, you thought that Someday would never ever arrive.  Yet here it is.  At your front door.

“So,” your new friend begins, ” now that I’m here, what are we going to do?”

A very long mental list appears in your minds eye. “Well, um…..” you answer forlornly, still in shock.

Your new friend beckons you further. “Come on! I’m finally here. Let’s do something.”

Missed Opportunities

After several minutes of patient waiting, Someday starts to retreat. “Wait where are you going?” you call, feeling a sudden sense of urgency. He doesn’t answer and as you watch he moves further out of view along the path, away from your house.

“Will you be back?” you call.

“Maybe.  I don’t know.”

If you’re wondering about the moral of this small tale, I’ll close this post with the following quotes for some further food for thought.

“Four things come not back: The spoken word, The sped arrow, The past life, the neglected opportunity.”

Or this:

“Sometimes we stare so long at a door that is closing that we see too late the one that is open.”

Ciao friends,

Mon ( )

P.S. Hope you have a wonderful day and please feel free to share a comment or a thought below.  I know it’s cozzy and comfy out there in the cyber shadows, but I don’t bite! In fact, I’m really quite friendly. 🙂 So why not go ahead and spill it…..
